March 3, 2008

Hi everyone,

Beginning this Sunday, March 16th, our parish will begin dropping off their treasurers at the FLC.  As many of you know, help is needed each afternoon to sort, tote and tag for the yard sale.  A limited number of youth can help in the afternoons because of room.  As many as possible are needed the day of the sale.  This is a major fundraiser for us usually bringing at least $2000.  All of the hours are kept and your trip account is compensated by the amount of time you work.  For those of you going on trips this summer, it's a good way to make some money.  Even if you aren't traveling this summer, your account is held and can be used on trips in the future.

Here are the sign up times.  First come, first serve basis.  Please only sign up on the afternoons you can really work.  LImited to 5 youth each afternoon.

Monday, March 17, Tuesday, March 18, Wednesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 20-Afternoons 4-6:30pm

Monday, March 24, Tuesday, March 25, Wednesday, March 26, Thursday, March 27 and if needed Friday, March 28-Afternoons 4-6:30 pm

Saturday, March 29th-Yard Sale Day!

Shift 1- 6 am to 8:30 am

Shift 2- 8:30 am to 10:30 am

Shift 3 10:30 to 1pm

Also, food help needed:  We need a juice, coffee, donut set up person in the early 6 am shift and someone to buy and set up lunch for everyone who is working at 10:45.  Please contact Susie Lawson if you can help with food set up.

Lastly, please begin saving paper & plastic bags for us to give to our shoppers.

Once again Cheryl Barnes has agreed to help us with pricing and she will be joined this year by Beverly Loper.  Any parents and youth leaders who can help in the afternoons, please let me know.

Sign up sheets are located on the Pit Bulletin Board.  As you e-mail me, I will write your names on the list or stop by to see what is available.

Thank you in advance.  I look forward to another fun and successful event.

Faithfully,

Frances
